Did someone say NBA?

That really should not have made me laugh but it did!

Yeah, I don't know their financial situations but asking a family to pay for a year so they can be on scholarship the following year can't be easy for a lot of families who are relying on the scholarship to pay for school.
I guess I was just assuming wherever they go they would need to have a scholarship for the sit-out year as well.
They do have to have scholarships available in the year they sit out. So you have to look at 2017 scholarships available, not 2018. If they didn't have to have scholarships in the year they sit out then even team out there would over recruit.

It may be Duo for Juco the way things stand. They should both just find the best fit and go their separate ways. They had a year together.

If they go Juco can they play right away? And that would count towards their career so they'd have 2 years left?
If they went Juco for 2017/18 that would be really be and odd outcome, both could have just stayed at Umass, prob started at a D1 level or at least played a ton with a good non-conf schedule and then reassess after next season.

I have to imagine there's a couple spots open for them at LIU-B (as well as many other schools) if they lower the bar a little. Might have to "settle" for a lower mid major (or less) conference team.

If DJ was that good a team would figure out how to get him/them in.
See - Colin Kapernik - a serviceable NFL QB under normal circumstances, but not good enough for a team to want to deal with the baggage that comes with....

Every time I see a new post in this thread I click on it hoping that I'll find out where the NOLA Duo has landed.
Instead, I come away feeling like IV's post above.

Anyways, I believe that they're going to commit to Creighton, they're just waiting to see if they qualify for next season.

Like Gene Hackman said in "Hoosiers," "I would hope you would support the team we have, not who we don't have. This is your team."
And that will end my participation in this thread.

Jimmy had a bad attitude and no shot at the NBA.

I've thought that from the get go. The Creighton message board seems to think it's going to happen and they have two scholarships left.

This starts the worst 2 months of the basketball boards..... no substantive news [usually] and nothing going on to forget/replace what we are moving away from yet.
Once September gets here, the "old stuff" will die very quickly.

So they're having an "announce date" now of 7/4?
Is it on the telly?
