Exactly why he won't make it to the NBA. Book it.

Absolutely.

I never get the people who go into a thread they have no interest in then post in that thread complaining that people are posting. Call me crazy but if I see a topic that doesn't interest me I just move along.

That, plus the fact that he will never be anywhere close to good enough to play in the NBA.

What do you mean by that? Are you giving him a pass for the way he mishandled the offer to coach UMass? :?

I’m saying that I probably would’ve done the same thing after what I heard

^ Interesting...

That begs the question...what did you hear?

And, looking back at how things have evolved, MM’s hire and what he’s done and how he’s done it, what are your thoughts?

While I am not going to post what I heard I will say that I have not seen anything that hasn’t been a positive. The staff is trying to build a foundation of the way they want things done and that takes time.
I consider the last coaching staff friends and, like many jobs, sometimes you just need to move on and start fresh somewhere else...glad they got a chance to do that so quickly.

I love most posts by the OFFseason, but have to say this cryptic stuff bugs me a little bit. While not looking for details, did Kelsey hear stuff about the fact that several players would not qualify for this season? Or, did he hear that a number of players were out of here with Kellogg being fired? Or, did he hear about the Lou Roe situation and decided he wanted no part of it? Or, did he hear about discipline issues? Or, did he hear about the fact that it actually gets cold and snows in Amherst during a good part of the basketball season?

I'd imagine whatever he heard, McCall heard it too. One of them decided to take it head on, while the other ran away (presumably, maybe it really was personal reasons). If that's the case: sign me up for McCall. We're better off that way.

^^^ I knew when I hit 'submit' on my post, that you weren't going to answer the question even though you left it out there to be asked.

That said, regardless of the details, and no one expects you to throw your friends under the bus, I'm trying to understand how Kelsey gets a pass from you for handling things the way he did.

If he didn't like what he heard, he should've asked for time to think things through before giving his answer instead of 'accepting' the offer only to ditch UMass 30-minutes before the introductory press conference.

Bamford, the players and UMass didn't deserve to be hung out to dry like that. What he did lacked class and was totally unprofessional. He does not deserve a pass.
