I'm too distracted by the pathetic home losses to minnow programs to focus on the FT% problems.

After an encouraging game in Ohio, the rotational decisions are perplexing. I haven't heard the radio show recently. What the hell are we trying to do?

Honestly looks like this could be a few more rough years- maybe the guy that hired him should get some heat? This is looking like a horrible hire. Literally most undisciplined and sloppy team I have ever seen. I would take DK back in a heartbeat and I was not a fan of him. Next time we hire a basketball coach how about one that actually played at a high level and not the Florida ball boy
Dead on PTrain, sorry for all the hate you are about to get from the Anti DK crowd.

Missed layups, bad passes, not being strong with the ball, are all things this team does very well.

My biggest issues are:

Rotation- the lineups without a point guard seem odd

Literally the sloppiest and undisciplined UMass team I have seen play.

Lastly- they don't have much fight in them at all. Last year they weren't good but they played their ass off. This year on paper they have more talent but don't seem to care and that is top down and falls on McCall

Couple of things

Holloway is 16-43 from the line this year. That’s unacceptable.

I’m starting to lose confidence in McCall. I have no idea what he is doing with the rotations. I continue to not see much of a difference between what DK’s teams did and what McCall’s team is doing. And no, I was not a fan of DK.

The offense is just a mess.

Defense and effort much better.

Just not a very good basketball team right now. They are competing, they just aren’t very good. That play down the stretch was tough to watch.

I don’t think there’s one player on the team who has exceeded my expectations. Keon maybe but that’s because I didn’t have huge expectations. Maybe Laurent pre-injuries. Didn’t really have any expectations for the freshman and they’ve shown glimpses. Other than that though nobody has had a good season. Nobody.

If it’s not the defense, it’s the offense. Different problems seem to crop up every game.

Anywho, gonna keep trying to remember it’s halfway through year two. Getting tougher with each loss though.

They just keep finding ways to lose. McCall has his faults but he can’t make the FT’s, layups, and wide open shots.

So McCall calls time out for the last possession of the first half...he puts Holloway in the game...Pipkins dribbles for 25 seconds, then misses a contested layup. I just don’t get it.

DK's teams were undisciplined by design. And they seemed to like each other.

It's too early to tell with McCall, but he talked a lot about discipline and accountability. I don't know that the program lacks these things, but the team either doesn't have the mental toughness, chemistry, or winning habits to be successful in McCall's system.

Plus, McCall doesn't seem to be making the right adjustments to pull it together. Some of us armchair coaches have been calling for a tighter rotation. McCall decides to do the opposite🙄

We can blame McCall all we want but the reality is he is NOT on the hot seat.

It's hard to picture him not getting another couple seasons at the very minimum. Just got to ignore what we're seeing and hope for the best.

Meh, that was not a difficult shot to make. Pipkins has been a shell of his ‘17-‘18 self. He doesn’t seem to have the same energy he had last season; I’m sure his shooting slump isn’t helping in that regard. What a disappointing season.

My point is, you call a timeout, you put your inside scorer into the game, and then the play is to dribble for 25 seconds and shoot? Sorry, I just don't get it.

Of course he isn’t on the hot seat, nor should he be.

How the hell can MM be on the hot seat when he still hasn't unpacked yet? To be even a little fair he has to get at least three years and maybe even a fourth before asking for his head. Unbelievably tough to get players to go all out in a cavernous building that is an echo chamber that's consistently 20% full. It's been a long slog so waiting a couple more years won't kill me. Having said that I can't help but notice that Paulsen sure has done a nice job a Mason in a short period of time.
