State of the program
Re: State of the program
Wow!!! Got to give it to McCall, making the tough decisions. From here on in it’s all on you! Good luck!
Re: State of the program
While it is most likely true, the only post I have seen is from Barstool. Nothing from the school or any of the coaches except Davis, who changed his twitter account. Tomorrow should be an interesting day. I'm hoping for a lot of Woodstock news.

That will certainly help them as they will want to line up things before they get there and close there if needed.Crank wrote: Mon Mar 18, 2019 6:44 pmI’d imagine this was done now so they can look for other jobs during the final four weekend. Apparently it’s THE big networking event for coaches
The reason it happened today(yesterday actually) was that it has been in the works for awhile now. The opportunity to get Tre Mitchell gives the other side some leverage.

Can you explain how the opportunity to land Mitchell has given the other side some leverage? Who is the other side?TheOFFSeason wrote: Mon Mar 18, 2019 7:05 pmThat will certainly help them as they will want to line up things before they get there and close there if needed.Crank wrote: Mon Mar 18, 2019 6:44 pmI’d imagine this was done now so they can look for other jobs during the final four weekend. I'm going to start some speculation. Bergeron has no mention of Woodstock on his twitter page. Maybe he never did - I don't know. However, he retweeted this earlier this evening. To me that's a sign (I hope).

Please, universe, let #UMass land Tre Mitchell, TJ Weeks, and Josh Pierre-Louis. I don't ask for much.

Hey OFFseason, do you think we lose Jalen Thomas as a result of Rasheen Davis getting fired?

Re: State of the program
Tony Bergeron has been re tweeting every mention of tre, Umass, and the whole “situation” that we’ve been discussing on here the past few days. Some high school basketball twitter guy that must be bergerons friend has also started tweeting about tre and Umass. Seems like it’s all set to happen, but nothing is a done deal till the ink is signed. I hope Jalen Thomas still wants to come.

I guess this is what a "Full Evaluation" looks like. Last time we heard that the S&C coach got fired... Should be an interesting week or so. I have to believe a lot of this will start to happen fast. MM had to hire and recruit in a pinch. It didn't work. I'm glad he is blowing it up. Even though the team will be young with a lot of newcomers next year, it won't take long to figure out if this worked or not by the way they play on the court.
