Really need to shore up the D.... Coastal can put up points. Probably going to be a long day.... curious to see if we have any semblance of ball control to help mute their offense a bit.

Vegas opening line is 36. At least we are talked about in the gambling world as the team always getting 5 td’s. The best part of the Uconn game will be the fact that one of those teams is giving points, and it will likely be Umass.

Coastal had a 3 point scare at Buffalo last week. They could be due for a big bounce back game. This has the potential to be worse than the Pitt game.

Don't feel good about this one. Agree that no injuries is the most important, and if they can cover even better.

Toledo looks pretty bad based on their results so far, maybe worse than EMU. Get out of Coastal in one piece and the next 2 should present a chance to be competitive and possibly sneak out a win, and then the must win against UConn.

According to coach Chadwell, K Massimo Biscardi is not likely to play Sat, and a few other Chants who were banged up over the past 2 wks are considered game-time decisions. So CCU could be without multiple starters for Saturday's 1 p.m. home game vs UMass
Wow, they're missing their kicker and maybe a couple of others (unnamed). We should be that undermanned.

I think this is Game Four, and I agree that Toledo isn't as good as EMU, so got to get out in good shape.

Don't know WTF you and Worcester_to_Amherst are talking about. Toledo almost upset the 8* Notre Dame in week 2.
Final Score #8 Notre Dame 32 and Toledo 29
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- — Jack Coan has played in only two games for No. 8 Notre Dame, yet he already has a place in Fighting Irish lore by leading them to a come-from-behind 32-29 victory over Toledo on Saturday despite dislocating a finger.

ESPN disagrees with you... Toledo is in their Bottom 10 just like us.

EMU beat UMass and a FCS team and was blown out by Wisconsin. Toledo was far from being blown out by 8# Notre Dame and almost got the upset. Respectably disagree and we'll see beyond these early games.

Back to Coastal.

Toledo's drop is clearly due to losing so badly to Colorado State. Not sure what's up with that. CBS had them ranked 67 before that, and they're still at 83 compared to EMU's 97 (EMU really got a 12 rank bump for beating UMass and not covering the spread?).

If the Notre Dame game was an aberration, then maybe we'll have a chance. They play Ball State this Saturday. If they lose that game or if it's close I'll have more confidence, but I was sort of in Steve's camp prior to this figuring this would be a really tough game.

I'm not expecting much against CCU despite their devastating injury report.

Ya I guess I didn't realize they gave Notre Dame that scare. I know Colorado St is supposed to suck so that's what I was going off of.

Looking at the past few games from CCU, it seems like we should be able to score some points. I'm not anticipating being able to score as much as CCU, but I'd like to see us keep up the ability to score a few TDs a game.

Not much chatter heading into game time. I’m just hoping they don’t go down 21-0 in the first quarter and keep it somewhat competitive at halftime. Is espn+ the only outlet or did Nesn pick it up?

I think it's just ESPN Plus. Just paid $6.99 to watch it. If we score a couple of touchdowns I'll consider it getting my money's worth.
