Game 25, 2022-23: at La Salle (2/11)
Game 25, 2022-23: at La Salle (2/11)
A trip down to Philly coming up on Saturday to close the home & home with La Salle. 2 PM on ESPN+, no traditional TV.
La Salle had started off A-10 play at 2-6 (with 1 of those 2 wins at Mullins), but they've since won 3 straight:
Home vs GW, 75-64
Across town at Saint Joe, 73-65
At Bonaventure, 76-70. This one is particularly impressive as Schmidt had Bona in 4th place yesterday.
La Salle has climed out of pillow fight day, currently 9th, and will want to stay there.
The Explorers nipped us a month back, with Noah playing 35 minutes and scoring our team high 15.
Luis scored 14 last month.
Diggins did not play last month.
Kyle just reported that all three of them are doubtful for Saturday.

We haven't won away from Mullins since 12/11. We need some things to go our way to get this one. At least we have a little revenge motivation to play with.

Just spoke with Frank Martin. It sounds like the Minutemen are going to have pretty much the same players available at LaSalle that they did at Fordham. So no Noah Fernandes, no RJ Luis and likely no Rahsool Diggins

I think at this point Frank might be thinking - get healthy for tourney and take our chances regardless of seed

He might be thinking - do the best we can with whoever we have.

Hard to envision a win today considering how LaSalle has been playing, especially with the mismatch at guard with the UMass injury situation.
Need to hope for cold shooting form LaSalle, and UMass needs to start rebounding the ball. Tough to win when you give up so many offensive rebounds like Davidson/Fordham.

Luis back provides some optimism.

He's dressed and participated in shootaround, wearing the facemask.

They look pretty good so far. Nice to see Brandon's shooting improve and Weeks shooting cleanly at the beginning of the game.
Keon looks more comfortable than a month ago. The minutes he's accumulated seem to be showing signs of development.
Rj in now. Good to see. See how he handles the point in man to man. He's got good instincts against the zone.

Sitting Keon doesnt seem to have been a good idea. We don't have a ball handler on the floor. It shows.
…I just noticed he had two fouls, so makes more sense.

Really happy with the rebounding. Too many bad decisions on offense with shots and turnovers. Let’s change recent history and have a good 2nd half.
