I think it should go as follows:

-You can transfer 1x without penalty as an undergrad, but doing so eliminates your ability to do a Grad transfer.
-If you do not transfer as an undergrad, you have the ability to do a Grad transfer - this allows up to 2 years of eligibility if you were able to complete your undergrad in 3 years.


This, of course, will never happen.

This is why it's impossible to look at next season. We won't have any idea what the team looks like until the season starts. A lot of new players...

Exactly It’s more difficult all the time now to keep good players at the lower level or mid level ! They leave !

That’s ridiculous. Makes college football a silly sport. Once again end the transfer portal.

I feel like UMass is stuck on the portal merry go round. Hard to build a stable program that way.

It's hard for all programs, except at the very top. The transfer rule needs to be revised back, with the additional reason of coaching changes giving players a free pass to transfer.
