The problem with traffic management and parking for Football (and even Basketball/Hockey) is that it is an issue with the current attendance levels, nevermind what we'll see with Missouri this year or if the team(s) start winning more.

Homecoming this year was ridiculous. Hadley and Amherst had no traffic control. I have no idea who was asleep at the wheel or if the towns were willful in their negligence. I was told point blank by a UMass officer that Amity street and University drive south is not UMass’s road. It took over an hour and half to get from Big Y to lot 11. They need to have it fixed to start the season. Use the graduation traffic scheme or something.

Just got through listening to "Just Being Frank" with Jay Burnham. There was a long segment with the new assistant, Matt Figger. Frank named 3 guys who he feels have great shot blocking instincts. We knew about Rivera and Shahid, and he puts Akil in with them. If this holds, our interior D will be much better this year.

Toward the end, Jay asked Matt Figger about his thoughts on the team. His response was interesting. He talked about gaining trust of the players and seemed very cautious about sharing what he was thinking but said the team has some personality, with some guys who can maybe reflect what Frank wants to see on the floor, finishing by saying he thinks they'll compete.

He sounds like a valuable addition given his history with Frank and his recruiting experience. I hope this staff stays around a while and digs their heels in here.

The latest episode of "Just Being Frank" is out. Most of the talk is about the non-con schedule with a few minutes on a couple of players. Toward the end, they talk about recruiting and Frank mentioned that he was hoping for some good recruiting news in the next few days.

Jeff, good job on nailing the importance of this commit, from the 2025 recruiting thread. We will need at least 1 or 2 more to fill out the class of 2025, but I will be patient.

Getting recruited and actually choosing UMass completely different. MAC concerns can ONLY be alleviated with a commit. Yes, if a 4 star kid like this comn those with conmits thecerns would have to shut up

I haven’t been to the campus is a few years and hadn’t known we have had but a small stadium.. Why ?? How can we compete With such a small stadium? I’m completely surprised. It seems until they build a bigger stadium that there is no hope… am I not correct? Be better to go to a lower division in football? Hard to believe We joined this football conference without a plan for 25 or 30000 seating stadium! Am I missing something ??? I haven’t been following Football much.. Are my thoughts all wrong? Do I have misinformation? How could one expand Football with the Current stadium?? Oh

Perhaps the embarrassment of having 20,000 empty seats "watching" the worst program in the country has prevented the stadium upgrade.
