2024 Game 7: Mizzou

Post by dennisdent » Mon Oct 07, 2024 12:55 pm

Sad that this is the biggest home game in the modern history of UMass and the hype has died down due to UMass being bad and Mizzou getting blown-out last week.

All Mizzou has to do is pound the ball down UMass's throat and it will win the game easily. There is nothing about UMass at this point in the season that I see any kind of upset happening. Crazier things have happened of course!

Noon start, ESP2 for TV. Probably a chilly start to tailgating, but sun and near 70 for a high... should be a great day for a visit to campus, even if the game is a bloodbath. Disappointed I can't be there.

Looks like less than 900 tickets are available. There is nothing exciting about being blown out. but will enjoy the tailgate, the crowd and early atmosphere. The weather looks great!
Cal's 1yr, the crowd is Booing. He stands up, turns to the crowd and says "Cheer for us!"

Excited to get there and enjoy the day. Can't expect any sort of upset but hopefully the atmosphere is good and we fight a little bit

All were hoping for a Top 10 team and not even getting a Top 20……

The weather is looking great! Looking forward to a big crowd and lively pregame festivities, and who knows, we were tied with Notre Dame at the half years ago in Indiana (we were there) …. of course they pulled away in the 2nd half, but still a great experience.

This UMass team does have some talent…. if they play smart, play hard, and play well, they could be competitive, at least for awhile. Coach Brown, staff, players, as well as the entire athletic dept can earn some much needed and renewed respect with a good showing in front of a big crowd. A poor showing, on the other hand, will only add to the sentiments of disappointment concerning the program….this is a great opportunity to turn a page and show that this program is moving forward in the world of D 1A football!

Marketing 101….. give the people at Mcguirk, and before during pregame something to get excited about, and they’ll look forward to coming back as they tell their friends what a great time they had; I know I’ve been disappointed and critical of the program ( along with many others) at times, but I’m pulling for them to have a great day all around on Saturday to gain some much needed respect and positive momentum for the program

I have 6 tickets and 2 parking passes I cannot use for Saturday. Spending the weekend doing a much needed home improvement project, and the scheduling of that was outside my hands.

If anyone wants them, shoot me a message.

The NFL embraces the thug mentality, and this behavior is clearly encouraged. Every season it's the same story with different names. It's filled with overpaid punks who still can't read or write, but they do beat a lot of women and do massive amounts of drugs.

Hopefully some of the dialogue around McGuirk this weekend and weekend will facilitate some urgency in making changes and upgrades to this stadium

Maybe... but we've been playing at these types of schools for years now... seen first hand their facilities, what their game day environment is like, etc... and nothing has really changed yet.

I am looking to get rid of four without parking passes.
