I agree with most of the comments posted. The thing that struck me most about the practicce was how physically in shape all the players were. They all look like they have been working very hard in the gym and on the court.

I know everyone is looking to next year when we really make a splash into relevance in college basketball, but I think we can really do some damage this year. This is based solely on the fact that we have a pretty expierence team with lots of competition for spots which will raise everyones game. I think the players that are sitting out this year, will help us win some games by their presence in practice.

Solid Overall Performance
Overall, I was very impressed with the effort and the offense for the teams. We moved the ball better, almost not shooting enough on certain possessions. Our offense put up 77 and 72 points respectively, which compared to last year is very positive. We shot the three ball very well.
As for individual players:
-Seems as if Lowe has solidified his starting job as the PG. He handled the ball very well, was exceptionally fast (nobody could stay with him), and he looks up the floor very well.
-Brower, Forbes were very impressive as transfers. They both WILL start next year. They are big, strong and both have solid shots. Brower is not afraid to mix it up inside, while Forbes seems a little content to shoot threes, but he has a very good shot.
-Bonner impressed me with his crashing of the boards. He may have gotten some loose ball fouls, but I would rather have them when he is crashing the boards than a stupid defensive foul.
-Maxwell and Bowers looked very confident. Maxwell shot the ball well, had great form. Bowers form has improved 100%, and he seems more settled this year.
-Jeff was very active, as usual. He never seems to stand out, but he is a guy we need on the floor. He is a calming factor and plays hard. When the other guys see him making the extra pass, extra defensive rotation, diving on the floor for the ball, they will join him in doing so.
-Rashaun seemed a little out of whac in this high octane offense. He has to shoot the ten to fifteen foot shot as on defense we were doubling and tripling him fast, not giving him the time to make his moves like last year
-Carrier looked very good. He has lost weight, upped his movement on the boards. He seems to understand if he wants to play, he has to improve.
-Thomas looked very good. He took an elbow to the mouth from Forbes by accident, and just took it and kept playing. Seems tough. Had one exceptional spin move on the baseline. He has a nice shot and looks to work well in this offense.
-Lowe was lost. He seemd to not understand you need to move on offense to get the ball. As well, he talked back to the coaches, making me very displeased with that aspect.
-Miligan and Lasme were hurt (assuming), and DNP.
-Nana, Drew Rossi, and Matt Pennie played a few minutes, which is good to see. They didn't necessarily hurt the team either, so that is a positive. I know they aren't division 1 players, but if they make the other scholarship players work hard in practice, it can only help the team
Looking forward to this year.
