Thanks Coach
It was great to hear from Coach Lap and get some of his impressions about this year's and next year's team. I'm glad to hear such a positive tone from him and not surprised he is preaching patience for the next couple years. Once concerning thing though was the difference in perception about the intensity the team played with. I for one disagree with him. I'm sure they were playing hard, but there is clearly something different between the amount of fire they played with last year and those teams you look at and know are intense. Talent is certainly an issue, but I know intensity when I see it, and this team just didn't have it. Hopefully that will change next year...

Thanks!
Kudos to coach for responding thoughtfully to the Q&A session. I disagreed with him on the reasons not to press more though. Depth was a problem, but I'd rather see bench guys like Cox coming in for 5 minutes to press and change the tempo than AA playing 36 minutes with no pressure. AA is our best player, but that doesn't mean he is the best option for every minute of the game. Mix it up!
Love the optimism though, and hope it works out.

From the gist of what I got out of Coach's answers, we are looking at next year truly being the first that he will be coaching "his" team and building the base for the future. I see the 2004-2005 season as the litmus for the team and the motion offense.

I'm sure the masslive board is where he spends the majority of his time anyways. I can see posting points of view that show the wrongs and rights of the program. But it seems some people or person seems to have a thorn in his side when it comes to coach lap and has nothing but negative things to say about him and the team. I have a great idea. Go somwhere else! Your life may become a much better one when you don't have to live with the fact that the coach gets paid so much to do a job you seem to think you can do better than him.

Real nice of the coach
It was real nice of the coach to answer questions from the board (even mine) and a great feature of the board.

You think i'm Brulaughs? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa.....no sorry im not. I'm just pointing out that while people were saying that he is a good coach he just came off of a 11-19 season. He can recruit, I'll give him that, but let's see what he does with his guys. I don't think he should be fired now, but if this year goes bad, then he must be fired.
