Minutemen Roll Past RIC 109-78, in Exhibition Win

AMHERST, MA. – Massachusetts basketball earned a 109-78 win over Rhode Island College in exhibition action on Saturday evening at the Mullins Center.
The Minutemen were led by senior Daniel Hankins-Sanford who recorded his first double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds on 28 minutes of action. Leonardo Bettiol also tallied a team-high 22 points, going 7-8 from the field with three rebounds.
Dimitri Clerc totaled a season high 14 points with three rebounds and an assist over nearly 19 minutes of gameplay.
The Anchormen were led by Kyle Prete, who scored a team-high 16 points on 4-for-7 shooting from the field. Prete recorded four made three pointers and two rebounds in the matchup.

- Massachusetts opened the scoring with a pair of free throws by Daniel Hankins-Sanford with 18:33 on the clock into the first half.
- A buzzer beater in the paint from Leonardo Bettiol gave Massachusetts an early 7-0 lead.
