Mayben Named A-10 Co-Rookie Of The Week
Freeman also earns spot on weekly honor roll

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Freshman guard Tiki Mayben was named the A-10 Co-Rookie of the Week on Sunday. He shared the award with Dayton's Marcus Johnson. In his UMass debut against Dartmouth, the freshman had 12 points and 11 assists in the 98-61 win. He had nine assists in the first half alone before scoring 10 of his points in the second half. His 11 assists tied the Mullins Center record of helpers in a game set by Monty Mack in 1998. Mayben also had two steals and a rebound in leading the charge he shot 5 of 9 from the floor overall.

Senior center Rashaun Freeman was named to the A-10 Honor Roll as well. In the season opener, Freeman posted 25 points and 10 rebounds in UMass' 98-61 win over Dartmouth on Saturday. He shot a tremendous 12 of 16 from the floor including making his first six field goal attempts. He also had a steal and assists in the rout.
