1964-65 Season

The 1964-65 UMass Redmen basketball team represented the University of Massachusetts. The Head Coach was John M. Orr. The team played its home games primarily in the Curry Hicks Cage in Amherst, Massachusetts, and was a member of the Yankee Conference.

The season represented the 56th season of basketball in the school's history.

  • Assistant Coach Jack Leaman would eventually succeed Johnny Orr as head coach
  • Team manager Kenneth Feinberg went on to be a prominent attorney, and served as Special Master of the U.S. government's September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.
