1976-77 Season

The 1976-77 UMass Minutemen basketball team represented the University of Massachusetts. The Head Coach was Jack Leaman. The team played its home games primarily in the Curry Hicks Cage in Amherst, Massachusetts, and was a member of the ECBL. This was UM's first season in the new conference, having left the Yankee Conference over the off-season.

The season represented the 68th season of basketball in the school's history.

  • Conference Record: 3-4 (Sixth place)
  • Postseason: NIT 1-1 (lost in Quarterfinals)
