The 1985-86 UMass Minutemen men's basketball team represented the University of Massachusetts. The Head Coach was Ron Gerlufsen. The team played its home games primarily in the Curry Hicks Cage in Amherst, Massachusetts, and was a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
